My own experience with decapsulating brine shrimp was brief and ultimately 
unsuccessful. When I first tried it a few years ago, I followed rigorously the 
directions provided by Dr. Dan Nielsen. They worked exactly as he described and 
I used it for a few months with reasonable success. Then, I ran out of the 
original bleach (Clorox or generic) and went to buy another jug. I found that 
they no longer sold regular bleach (Clorox or generic), but only so-called 
"Ultra". The brine shrimp no longer hatched. I adjusted the formula to accommodate 
the new increased concentration of sodium hypochlorite and still got nothing 
hatched. I abandoned the procedure at that point.
