Re: [Killietalk] Glugea questions

To the best of my knowledge Glugea is transmitted by ingestion of spores
which are present in the water, in detritus or in dead fish, at which
live fish may pick (i.e. feed). I know of no evidence that it is
transmitted in the egg. With annuals, spores appear to be able to
survive for long periods in the peat and fry are exposed to them on
hatching.
