[Killietalk] how to produce a lot of fish?

So I've been thinking and I've found one of the hardest things for me
to do so far is not to breed or raise the fish, but it is getting
large numbers of fry grown out to maturity. While I've been raising
small numbers of fry regularly any batches beyond a certain size
usually shrink at a certain point. I've been thinking of putting a
"pen" in my outdoor pond to raise some killies over the summer to
overcome either lack of space or not quite enough food to go around.
Anyone have any experience with this? It will have a frame using PVC
and then have some fine netting inside of it. Of course(those
gardneri), it will have a lid of some sort, probably mesh.
