Re: [Killietalk] US Postal Service
Hate to tell you this Ray, but a lot of shipments to at least Southern Ca go
thru the Pheonix sorting area and sit in the sun cooking. When properly
packaged (and purged) killies can survive weeks if not cooked or absolutely
frozen so dont give up hope. This time of year, Express mail is about the
only way to go though. Even then they do screw things up. Unfortunately,
early spring and late fall are the time to move fish. Any other is risky.
As for tracking numbers with priority, about all they are good for is
tracing a loss and being able to prove you sent it. I had a priority mail
box return go 3 weeks before being returned to the sender with a torn label.
At least he found it was out there at a sorting center and was able to get
it returned rather than lose the box and have to cancel his check.
