i have a window in my fishroom, well second bedroom converted to hold my
bigger tanks.   In this room i use timers on my lights even though i get
natural lighting through a small window.   I set the timers to come on
at 2pm and go off at like 11pm.   I grow several types of floating
plants, anubias's , java ferns and java moss.  timers can be had at
wally world for like $4 each, as ive cut back on number of tanks i now
have an excess of brand new ones on my stock shelves...  They are
certainly the way to go with lights over fish tanks...
