Got to admit the sterilisation point is important to prevent the bacteria 
bloom. but you can do this without decapping & still get fresh hatches. It's 
debateable if removing the outer chorion prevents this bloom. I suspect it 
buys time as the soaking & softening time is reduced giving less time for 
bacteria (especilly Vibrio) to become established.
Hatching brine shrimp produces Glycocin which is the nectar for bacteria. 
This fuels Vibrio which eventually kills hatches fast - especially big 
hatches in high temperature situations.
I think it's about 10% of bacteria on hatching but this expands rapidly & 
kills Artemia nauplii along with ammonia poisoning.
The advantages of low temperature hatches are obvious.

It's also debateable if unhatched eggs or shells create problems in the gut.
One can of worms well & truely opened......
