Three reasons I do it: 1) better hatch percentage because the outer shell of
the egg is removed and probably also because the eggs are sterilized prior
to hatching, 2) less hassle separating unhatched eggs from bbs, 3) I can
feed the eggs directly to my fish if I need to (not that I ever do). Perhaps
those reasons aren't compelling to everyone, but I don't mind the extra work
involved.
