[Killietalk] Planted Debruyn filter

Hi,
There was recently a post about how to build a Debruyn filter which has
renewed my interest in something I've been wanting to try for several years
- I'd like to build a Debruyn style filter planted with mosses, ferns, and
perhaps other emersed plants, to filter several 19 litre (5 gallon) tanks I
use to keep killi pairs. The idea would be to have several of these tanks
linked to a single lava rock tray which would receive fairly bright light
from a window. A few questions for you guys: Has anyone tried something like
this? Any tips? How large of a Debruyn would I need to filter about 190
liters (50 gallons) worth of tank water? Finally, would mangroves or "lucky"
bamboo work in a situation like this?

Cheers,
Mark R.
