Re: [Killietalk] Convention
I don't like battery-operated air pumps for travel because they're noisy,
the batteries burn out quickly, and the diaphragms don't last. Go to a big
bait and tackle shop and you'll find insulated coolers fitted with bait
aerators based on a long-lasting reliable marine sump pump that pushes water
up to a perforated PVC pipe located near the lid, from which it discharges
under pressure onto the surface. It comes with an AC/DC cigar lighter
adapter. There are also variants without the cooler (bring your own). Today
you can also buy insulated thermal coolers that both heat and cool and also
plug into a cigar lighter. They're useful for short trips where temperature
is more important than aeration.
