[Killietalk] Akure color sport

  Hi Fellow Killinuts,

  It is not unusual for color morphs or
   yellow finned "sports" to show up in
   the akure line. I have had this happen
   to me a couple of times many years ago.

   I was breeding the yellow strain of Akure
   that usually bred true when Blue finned
   /bodied fish started showing up in my batches
    of young males. Other killikeepers have
    reported the same over the past 30 years.

    It seems that the Akure line will breed
    true for a couple of generations (whichever
    color you have at the present) then it will
    throw color sports of the opposite color.
