Re: [Killietalk] Convention packing
Hi Lisa;
I don't know if you plan on collecting (other than in the fishroom sale and
auction). If not, bring a camera, a good styro and several days of clothes
and assorted toiletries you may want to have with you. With all that goes
on, you won't have much time and will be running around a lot. Bring some
fishbags and if you can, some of your water. With several days to a week
in the same water, you may want to move some fish to new bags with some new
water. You can cut the available water with yours and that way have them
part way conditioned before you even leave for home. Maybe even a couple of
the real small show tanks for housing back in your room.
If you do plan on collecting, bring more bags, tanks and a net and more
clothes. Lee gave you a good list. If you collect, you may need to do a
water change on the trip home since the wild fish will not have been purged
and you have a couple of days ride ahead of you. Personally I would put my
styro in the car, not the trunk. A styro slows down temperature changes but
only for a few hours. Don't cook your collection in the trunk.
Biggest thing is to have several tanks set up to put your collections to bed
when you get home.
