Re: [Killietalk] list problems
To clarify, the link to the site map is found under "The site". I added
that menu group so that the site map could be nearer the top, as well as
allowing me to add a link to return to the home page in a logical place.
I continue to do fine adjustments, trying to balance improved
functionality against possible frustration of an ever changing site.
One function that I have been thinking about is the addition of a web
log ("killi-blogs"). Many of you will be familiar with blogs, which are,
essentially, on line diaries. The thought here is that members could
enter experiences, techniques they've tried, even disappointments. It
might in time make an interesting archive for killie keepers, especially
beginners, to browse. Some interesting and useful tips could accumulate
there.
One of my concerns about killietalk is that many good ideas are raised,
opinions and experiences expressed, but they soon fade into the
background. Partly due to message headers not being appropriate, the
archives are less useful than they could be. Forums largely overcome
this problem and so should blogs. In other words, I think site users
might more easily find such information.
I have added a poll to the public forums in order to try to get a feel
for the support or opposition to this idea. Please feel free to vote and
express and opinion.
