[Killietalk] list problems
Okay, I'm going to come out of lurk mode. I am a newby
to the Killie world, and I will give you some
feedback. The AKA website is impossible. The forum is
impossible. I cannot find basic information that a
newby wants, like, how am I supposed to hatch the eggs
that I ordered? How do I keep killiefish? You all seem
so clique-y that you have forgotten that the life
blood of any hobby is getting new people interested.
You guys (whoever that is) have made it nearly
impossible. It seems like all you care about is
collecting obscure varieties of the fish and showing
off who can have the *most* obscure collection.
I have bettas, and as a comparison, go visit some of
the plentiful betta websites. They are very
user-friendly, they all have basic informaiton, and
they are very welcoming to all. I emailed the guy who
runs the Killinutz website and let him know that maybe
the reason that *nobody* posts there is that they
physically can't== because the mechanics of it are
horrible.
So, if you want to have a thriving fancy, then you
have to ask yourself how hard is it to be a part of
your group, starting with the very basics. If you
don't care about the newbies, then you're going to go
the way of the dinosaurs.
Just my two cents worth. So, if anybody would like to
tell me what the heck I am supposed to do with the N.
ravovii eggs I bought several weeks ago, I'm listening.
