Ya know Barry, not sure if I like  squirreling post away in a forum, not sure if 
anybody really reads it there. To reiiterate what I said, there is still a lot 
of activity in the Midwest to consider even just two mini conventions, though I 
believe someday it might come to that.  St Louis and Cleveland are two good 
examples of need for such shows, Charles pointed out many good facts as to why 
their situation is like it is, many of us could have that in a few years.  Don't 
know how many clubs in Midwest are ready for that yet, if any.  Killie Karnival 
has a long tradition as well and will continue as long as our society members 
feel like hosting it and our out of town friends keep coming--we have done a lot 
to make it an enjoyable weekend in a nice hotel, Chicago and Milwaukee have also 
enhanced their shows in last couple years to  make them outstanding.  Still 
think it should be up to individual clubs/shows whether to "merge"  for regional 
mini conventions or not, and not have it thrust upon them. Charles was also right about open invitation  for KT readers to comment.
