Re: [Killietalk] WCW Show results

It seems to me we should list scheduled events in order of occurrence,
closest one first, in every issue of KN until the event has passed, with the
most immediate in bold face. These things should be in everyone's face all
the time, and KN is our least expensive and most effective advertising
medium for members. As to why turnout is low or high, a lot has to do with
date, distance, weather, and frequency, and having somebody to travel with
to the event. The more events, the less value each might be perceived to
have since there is a backup. If you have to wait another year, something
means more than if events are held every six weeks. With regard to date, we
meet annually on Memorial Day, which presents conflicts for some people and
opportunities for others. For the annual, tradition has set that in stone,
but the regionals might experiment with varying the dates. Anyway, I wonder
if anyone has added up total attendance for all events during a year. I'll
bet it outnumbers the old days when we had only the annual. - Bob G.
