Re: [Killietalk] Fruit fly problems

Hi "Crash". Don't keep the flies in a humid area. Mine are kept in a room at
75F but it is dry. I use Snapple drink bottles because they are heavy, less
likely to tip over, clean up well under hot water, and the same sponge plug
sold by Carolina Bio Supplies fits it too. I use strips of "scrubby pads"
standing upright in the bottle for the flies to crawl on. The formula for
the medium that Lorraine from Colorado suggested is working better than the
one provided by Carolina Bio Supply .Ask "The Jayman" (Rose) from Silicone
Valley Aquarium Society how mine looked. He was here in the East this past
weekend and got to see my critters! Good luck, Harry W. Faustmann
