Hi all, I just received a package of N. Guentheri (aquarium strain) eggs
dated collected 1/8/06 as a belated birthday gift. I have no idea as to
what
to do with them. I haven't raised annnuals since 1975 and have forgotten
alot. I think slighty brackish water (salt) but is it hard or soft water
(ph) ?
Can I try to hatch them now? Please help. TIA. - Ed Brandt

Dear Brandt,
Your eggs are a bit old and should be put in water now. You might add salt
to the water after the fry have hatched. A teaspoon per 5 gallons should help
keep the brine shrimp alive and give you some protection against ICH.
Sincerely,
Sandy
