This isn't about SLR, but rather about microscope photography. I
just purchased the little Digiscope which plugs into your USB port so
you see the microscope images on the computer screen. Just got it
working yesterday. Saturday is the day I doing my weekly mop
rotations, so I was looking for partially developed eggs to look at
through the scope. I found both orange australe and epi dageti. A
sample is attached (you can make out the fin on the top left side of
the photo).
What really blew me away is the little videos you can make. With
both eggs, you can actually see the blood flow. The fins in the
dageti video are flexing just as if the embryo were swimming. The
videos exceed the 2 meg limit to email.
The Digiscope was $139 and $13 shipping. Best $152 I ever spent.
Better yet, I picked Florida for one more round and already won the
office pool!! The microscope just became free!
My wife is mad as she is doing house jobs on her list and I am
playing with my new toy.
