Re: [Killietalk] More CKCO Fish #4 -- "Roloffia calabarica"

Hi All,

So good to see that the beautiful old "Roloffia calabarica" is making it around the country! The only species and population of killie to have survived over 70 years in the hobby off ONE and only ONE 1935 importation into Germany -- and then it survived a world war! That is nothing short of incredible. We must keep this fish in the hobby at all costs. Nothing else exists even remotely like the "calabarica" situation. Doug Ebeling is heading the conservation drive on this species and I donated many pairs to the cause. If you like the old "Roloffias" or just like beautiful killies -- this is the guy to maintain. True living hobby history. The line in the hobby came directly from Roloff himself.

  Bobby
