[Killietalk] How the AKA was founded



Hi All;
      I was just reading a really well done History of the AKA as written 
by Dr. Al Klee that is posted on the AHHS (Aquarium Hobby Historical 
Society - A yahoo Group) that is really quite well done. It contains 
pictures of some of the founding fathers of the AKA as well as some of the 
charter members including Al, himself and, of course, George Maier.   My 
first stint in the AKA was in the late 60's, early 70's and I was lucky to 
meet some of those that got us going, in particular George Maier. I spent 
many pleasant afternoons swapping gossip and Aquarium lore in his store in 
Chicago.... Anyway, maybe we can prevail on Al and get him to post it on 
the AKA site for everyone to read and enjoy...
