Thanks guys! I am located in CA, but during the winter we are quite
lax about heating so things get cool here. Summer can be bad but I've
found water kept on my lower racks stays at or below 75.

I have had some beginner success with Aphyosemion splendopleure(4 fish
turning into 2 and then turning into maybe 15 which looks like the
largest number of fish possible in a 10 gallon) in a colony style tank
but they need a heater to do well here. Elassoma evergladei I've found
does well in unheated critter keepers here. Dunno if these fish are as
fussy about soft water as ogoense are.

Which of the two base colors(blue and orange/red...unless I'm missing
something) are commoner/considered easier to keep? Not sure which one
I like better. It seems a good(easier?) alternative to "orange"
ogoense would be striatum or the other similar species. Haven't seen
any other Aphyosemion with the blue/red combo of colors however.
