Re: [Killietalk] Hornwort in Sarasota Springs, Death Valley

While wading in the waters of Florida and Southern Alabama you do a lot of
looking, praying, and keeping your fingers crossed guys. Lucky for me the
habitat for F. bifax does not allow for gaters and such. Joe in Al.

I knew about those from swimming in Keough's hot spring as a kid. What I
learned (the hard way) at Convention 2000 was that the water scorpions
in FL have a most interesting sting, too.

Any suggestions for leg and foot protection? [My waders are too bulky
and heavy to lug along, and way too hot for FL sun, anyway.]
