[Killietalk] egg question
First off thanks for this info. in "Some simple
breeding techniques" thread. It is going into my to
keep fish folder.
OK here is the back ground info on my findings
yesterday. I have been putting the mops with eggs on
them from 2 species into a tank to hatch the last few
weeks on a weekly schedule. Space is a big concern
right now as I tore my tanks down from where they were
to put up a shelf to hold more tanks. So I have been
putting both A. biv. and A. australe orange mops in
one shoe box. When I took the mops out one of them was
still had alot of clear eggs a month after collection.
I am almost sure it was the A. australe mop. I know
these last 2 weeks have turn off cold but the weeks
before the water temp was about 70F and the last 2
week more like 66F as the area they are in is not
getting alot of the heat.
I could have understood the cooler temps making them
take longer to hatch but they should have shown some
developement. So way are they crystal clear and still
solid after a month?
