Bill is right, you do have to be careful. But I'm finding this strategy does
work. I'm growing up a tankful of huberi, gadrneri and gold australe
together right now. Just pick species that you can very easily tell apart
when they mature. No problem with these three. A biv type could even go into
the mix with no loss of distinctions.

AS for predation: it can be just as bad between fry of a single species!

I would just be careful that the fry are from two different genus and have 
similar growth rates to prevent any cannibalism.  Most epis start out pretty

small so if mixed with a larg hatching fry might be gone!
