One negative aspect is that it can clog sponge filters and other filters 
with an intake if the situation becomes out of control. I have this crap all 
over in my store tanks and have to essentially bleach the tank and start 
over when it gets to bad. I wish I had a supplier for the Olive nerite 
snails mentioned earlier! Antibiotics does not kill black brush algae that I 
deal with here. Perhaps there are others it will work on.
