My only adjustment to water chemistry are to add some minerals to my tap 
water for those fish (Aphanius and some Rift Lake Cichlids) which seem to need 
more minerals in their environment.  

I have raised and spawned discus in my 160-200 TDS, pH 7.6 water with nothing 
more than frequent water changes.
