I was going to say the same thing. The only thing you need to be careful 
about is not mixing the Mg sulfate (Epsom salts) with high 
concentrations of calcium salts (e.g. CaCl2) because Ca sulfate is 
relatively insoluble. If the Mg sulfate were dissolved separately then 
poured into the final aquarium water, i.e. a dilute solution of Ca 
salts, it would not be a problem.
