no abrupt changes, as noted earlier, and feeding them zuchinni tied to drift 
wood, which they also eat.  They will shave the Zuchinni all the way down to 
the outer skin, leaving the string.  They will live quite awhile, although 
it is the loricaria types that I have seen live the longest.  I'm pretty 
sure my friend has had these live for an excess of 10 years.  The loricaria 
will lay green eggs under a PVC pipe, cut in half, after being conditioned 
with the zuchinni squash.
