I think we can have a case of over generalized information here. ken stated
his died from abrupt water changes. Perhaps TDS shock? Breeding will only
occur with frequent partial water changes from my experience. In fact after
water changes eggs were laid frequently.
This is a riverine species so I would caution those that want success with
them to read this and think they will benefit from a lack of water changes.
I did not find that to be true. Also I never saw any such reaction to water
changes so I think we need to precede with caution here. ken may have had a
ton of other variables that caused the demise of his fish. Anyway I just
wanted to further elaborate on my breeding report with that species.
