Re: [Killietalk] Nostalgia, et...
"Lee's still makes their little simple economy box filters. I prefer them
over sponge filters as they are much easier to clean and you can vary the
media if necessary."
I kinda like sponge filters better in fry tanks...may/may not be anything to
I'm probably splitting hairs here, but I'm know of the "triangle" type of
box filter Lee makes...I got it, and I don't like the "geometry" of
it...seems the "funnel" design of the uplift/outlet is ineffcient...you will
only notice this if you got 20-30 of em on a high volume air system...they
need way too much air in order to work properly.
Naw, I'm definetly partial to the "square" type...IMO,even the most minimal
"bubble per sec" seems to drive those (good luck finding any, Hagen makes em
still I think as a "kit/wpump)...
P.S. Anyone needing these filters, I have some (I dunno, maybe
10-15-20)....a pair of cool water killies to start filling this "bank" of
10gals I got empty will work as trade (already got niggripinnis)
