I am with Lee. Although I prefer the Thiosulfate for most everything
from 1 to 55 gallons. The drop in pH from Thiosulfate is welcome and
as long as the pH is some where below 8 there is little effect on
anything from the amine part of the Chloroamine. I am much more
concerned with the ammonia in the peat decomp than anything added by
the water company.
I still am impressed by the improvement in fish life and plant growth
with continued water changes. The effort some put into making their
water "different" just doesn't appear justified when compared to just
having LOTS of it to do the changes with.
Major thing I am very careful about is the residual Chlorine left in
the changing water. It doesn't take much to kill off a tank of
Daphnia or ruin a batch of Angel eggs. Test, test, test . . .

Change as much water as often as you can!
