Hi Dave

 your post got me thinking about parasites. We should all keep a microscope
to ID these bugs ICH is very easy to ID. I had a great scope but lost it in
the hurricanes of a few years ago along with many other cool stuff I had lol
But anyway I picked up a cheap microscope at Wally world for $30. For the ID
of parasites its great. All you need is a slide and do a simple skin smear
on the fish and presto. Looking at the slime under a scope really lets you
see the stuff like ICH which is very easy to ID. Once you get the hang of it
you'll be a pro in no time.Anyway I just thought I would suggest that even
at low power you can id most parasites very easily. This also takes the
guess work out of fish health problems. FYI 90% of the time you do not even
have to id the parasite lol if you see a ton of little buggers moving around
you got parasites.
