    Hi Lee,

    I use straight RO water which is less than
    30 ppm. It varies but is normally about 15 to 20ppm.
    When using water this low in buffering ability
    water changes must be done in a timely manner
    to prevent a tank from crashing if you
    accidently feed too much food and don't detect
    the overfeeding.
    I change 70% of the water every ten days (or
    sooner if there are a lot of fish in the tank).
