Re: [Killietalk] digest

Mike,et all...
I think you got a point there; I should have elaborated further...
I get messages from this list one at a time so mail client can handle em
individually...I'm pretty certain Outlook will delete messages by rule, as I
no longer trust SPAM filters since they were deleting my good mail and still
letting some bad in...that's how I now get rid of the "male enchancement",
"re-finance" & "Rolex watch" and other garbage that comes in...

Pardon the bandwidth, but I ran a test and yep, this should work
If this does not apply <<<< cut here>>>>>>

Assuming you have Outlook, and you get your msg's from this list one at a
time...

- Create a folder or tree of folders under "inbox" to sort the mail as you
see fit (or if you just wanna delete it, skip this step)

-highlight the "target" message, go to "Create rule":

-Check the "from" Box

- Push the radio button "Advanced options"

- Check the first box under step 1 (in my case its:
killietalk-bounces+ken_combs=sbcglobal.net at aka.org)

-Also check "with specific words in MESSAGE HEADER" ***IMPORTANT

-Scroll down to step 2 to edit: move pointer over the hyperlink "specific
words" and right click

- Type in all the offending email addresses you want (for instance to get
rid of me; use ken_combs at netzero.net & ken_combs at sbcglobal.net)...click
"Add" for each email address; click "Next"

- Select the action you want for the email address, check any/all that
apply...if you have a special folder other than "Junk mail" (or whatever,
highlight that hyperlink to modify

- Specify the name: Type in whatever you wanna call the rule

-Check "Run Now" & "Turn on"

-Review & Click Finnish

Granted there are no "IQ" filters invented yet, but trust me, you can
customize this tool to do some pretty slick deleting if you think it through
properly, don't blame me if you goof it up...And BTW, I don't delete any
msgs here nor really get upset over post, for now "fish & internet" have not
moved down my "Maislow Pyramid" anywhere near important stuff like food,
shelter or clothing ;-)...

KC....I'm sure all of us appreciate your difficult task Barry, even if some
of us are habitual offenders ...thank you

Ken . . . if we are in Digest form however all of "rule making" is for
naught however. Is that correct? You cannot edit the digest form.
