[Killietalk] Affiliate Clubs; was: Improving the AKA

Up this way, gotta be 20+ million people within a 4hr radius, but why
certain affiliate clubs have more activity in certain areas as opposed to
others I think is sorta demographic/cultural deal...

No doubt the biggest states should have affiliate club representation, but
then again it does not always follow along those lines...I know Ohio is
almost triple the pop of Arizona, but if you've been to both places, you
would observe that the pioneering "westerner" culture is more conducive to a
"people centric" org, as opposed to the avg Ohioan; who are more inclined to
gravitate to the familiar...
You can see that in some social woes prevalent in the East/North East, oft
mis-categorized as segregation, secularism, or some other "ism"...

Hence I would expect the Pac NW, Desert SW & Florida's to be a ill more
active than the "rust belt" areas...I think it's just a more
active/cosmopolitan/adventuresome culture that exist in those areas...

KC
....prior to Phase II "the Internet", we tried "abduction & probing", but
the path to the neural center proved to be too long, too convoluted, and too
full of...

<snip> ...Those people who are remote from others may have to travel more to
get to a meeting. For example Tennessee folks can go to the Greater
Cincinnati group meetings once or twice a year. For example from Knoxville
to Cincinnati is 250 miles. Nashville to Cincinnati is 270 miles. Memphis to
St. Louis is 280 miles. Those are distances I have driven fairly regularly
to affiliate meetings. Not every month, but I do travel every month about
150 miles each way, to the Chesapeake group, depending on where it is
located. Carpool if possible. Also, when and if you organize a local group,
at least once in a while the meeting can be at your house and you don't have
to travel.
