They either were a bad batch or have degraded with age. Based on the little I
know of the polymer used, they may degrade in sunlight or high temperatures.
I have had a few that leaked from the side seam immediately after closing. I
always test them with a little pressure from my hand before packing them. Wet
newspapers are death and one leaking bag will kill many other fish.
