I have also had breathing bags leak but by a "sweating" process that has
nothing to do with how they are tied off (I always use an elastic band). I
have some breathing bags that are relatively old (but unused) and it is
those that consistently leak - so far as I can tell, right through the
plastic. Needless to say, I have stopped using this particular batch of
bags, but it is unfortunate that I still have a few hundred of them that I
now cannot risk using.
