Perhaps we are being too hasty. At first blush, I'd agree. "Can't a big
company pay a few bucks for some photo rights?" On the other hand, perhaps
they've been good contributors of manufacturer products to our auctions both
at the local and national level and are just looking for a "friendly
gesture" (which in fact costs us nothing) in return for their investment in
us which actually cost them money(was that a run on sentence??). I am not
involved in corporate donations for our club, but maybe someone who is could
let us know if API is a "team player," in which case if they are, we should
be, too.

Are they seriously begging for the free use of photos ? Presumably, they
expect the advertising campaign to generate enhanced sales of their
products, i.e. make money for the company - and yet they apparently are not
prepared to pay for the use of the photos ?
