Re: [Killietalk] Spawning mops

Hello Ed,

I also prefer Nylon mops. One can boil them and they remain soft! Some
claim that boiling is not necessary to sterilize the yarn, but each
time I boil a mop, some dye comes out of it. The dye can not be good
for fish.

I could not find a 100% Nylon fluffy yarn, but Jerry Kasey directed me
to a store that sold an imported (England) 55% Nylon, 45% acrylic yarn
that can be boiled and remains soft. It is green "Peter Pan Toddler
Yarn", "new soft blend", manufactured by Carter & Parker Ltd, West
Yorkshire. I hope that the store is still around and carries it,
because the yarn serves me well.

In 2000 I paid $35.00 for ten 50 gram skeins of yarn.

Best,

George
