Re: [Killietalk] Killies at LFS's
After I got a LFS hooked on killies, she ordered a
pair of ornge australes from some one and sold that
pair for $32. She never liked the golden wonders until
he saw the ones raised by me as the ones from the
wholesale house are not nearly as colorful. This is a
different shop from the one I purchased my golden
wonders through. I sold a pair of Nothos since I had
more than I truely(thank for the extras in that
shipment) needed to her for $10 and she sold them for
$25. We email each other about once a month. The plan
for next years extras is to lower the price to make
them more available, since I will be raising them
myself. What few golden wonders I sold her were sold
to her for 50 cents each and sold at the normal $1.99.
This shop keeps the killies in critter keepers on the
shelf next to the bettas when they can get them(except
the golden wonders). This shop does have some pieces
of paper that were printed as business cards that they
give anyone asking about the killies. The card has the
AKA web site and another web address(african killies?)
with info on killies so the people can learn about
them. How much will become of this I have no idea. But
I know I have a couple outlets for killies. Eggs ship
so much easier that I doubt I will focus on selling
fish over the net and just let these to shops have
them cheaply. The best advice for LFSs is to truely
get to know the owners.
