Hi Ed. I have been feeding algae disks, which are mostly Spirulina. Just 
drop them on top of a clump of the worms and they will finish one off in 
just two days.These will also feed  small pond snails that produce an 
infusoria that the Microfex worms will also feed upon. This has worked well
