Re: [Killietalk] What to do ?????
I too have been getting killies into some of our LFS. We started off by
giving them some. Sure enough we ended up getting a few new members to our
local club from it. Now we have them hooked and they have offered to
dedicate a couple of tanks for more of them. They even gave us $60 in store
credit for the 20 young fish we took them. We win, the store wins, our club
wins, and the hobby in general wins with the greater exposure.

I am trying to get killies into more LFSs. We need
the exposure. Ask if you can put a small note on the
tank. On that note state what they are fully as pet
shops drop locations ect most of the time. Give the
AKA web site or a more local group with a message for
any help with these fish and they may even allow you
to put your number down as a contact. I gave 4 pair to
a LFS with the requirement of a note like this being
attached to their tank. I had alot of emails and a few
phone calls asking about them. I also found another
killie nut sort of near me(70 miles). A LFS gets alot
more traffic than clubs or even another AKA member
will get. They may not succeed with producing more
fish from them but you may hook a few other people
into our wonderful hobby.
