Re: [Killietalk] tihs could be fun
I like the multi-species idea as well although disagree with the lineatus. Lineatus get fairly large and are voracious eaters and predators among smaller fish. Something like a smaller epiplatys (dageti would be perfect) would likely work better. Dageti are small, nicely colored and reproduce in their own tank without predation except among young which I think all killies share. As for the bottom of the tank, what about a notho that will hatch without drying. Korthausae will hatch without drying but I'm not sure if the adults will predate on their young or not. Other than that I'd think some type of gardneri, nigerianus, etc would work well on the mid-lower levels. I also like the lampeye idea, I am partial to the procatopus species but some of the aplocheilichthys would be just as nice. A tankful of Normani would be very easy and extremely striking to look at with all the blue eyes floating around. cya, KYle in Oklahoma
