Hi All,

Being the (not self espoused) premier breeder of Blue gularis; I am 
often approached by people wanting to put several pair together in a 
large tank. Once six months of age, the males become quite territorial.  
I discourage any such plan and  I agree with Wright 100% .  Blue gularis 
are not the fish you want in a community tank.  Males fight and will 
shred each other's finnage in a few days or weeks.  The less dominant 
ones will hide wherever possible.  A single pair in a well planted 10 
gallon tank is a pretty sight however.
