[Killietalk] Shipping to Japan

  Hi Sandy,

  I have shipped two boxes to Japan lately,
   one this summer and one last fall. Both
   arrived in great shape. From the east
   coast (Virginia) where I live to Japan
   took four and five days respectively.
   Shipping cost by Global Express mail for
   the box this last summer was $49.00 for a
   large box containing 20 large (4" plus)
   goodeids. Because of the size of the fish
   {large, deep bodied individuals)I have
   to use quite a bit more water than in a
   killie shipment.
   I used standard 6" by 15" 1.5 mil poly
   bags, then double bagged them. (the goodeids
   are too big for 4" wide killie bags.)
   All fish arrived safely and in good shape
   both times.
