[Killietalk] Grindals the Cooper way

I am trying to raise grindals on poly foam as described by Barry Cooper on
the AKA site.  The culture starts to "take off" followed a couple of weeks
later by the development of a significant amount of liquid where none
previously existed.  The culture subsequently crashes.  I know people have
refered to "infrequent water changes," but my culture didn't even exhibit
any water to change until just b4 crash time.  I poured off the bad water
and "rinsed" with some fresh water, but to no avail. Help?
