Re: [Killietalk] Sending money to Brazil
That is peculiar.
I have heard of people sending money by Moneygram which
apparently are even available in some 7/11 type stores.
There must be some major scam going on like the Nigerian
scams that poison things for everyone.
What about if the recipient signs up for Paypal? You could
pay him/her through a Paypal credit card (not checking)
account which would give you some protection.
Good luck,

Does anyone know why it is so difficult to send a small amount of money
to Brazil?
I recently won an auction on aquabid, and ran into problems sending
money by Western Union. It appears that Brazil has been removed from the
list of approved countries at two local agent offices. I also registered
at WU on line but could not send by the internet, either..
Finally giving up, I went to the post office down in town, and was told
they are forbidden to issue an international postal money order payable
to anyone in Brazil.
What is going on here? My source wants to send me the eggs and I want
him to get his money, but so far we are defeated.
TIA for anyone who can explain this and/or help us finish the transaction.
