I have used the plastic T homemade filters in everything up to a 10 gallon
tank. Just adjust the size of the T.
http://www.djramsey.com/tropfish/homemade.htm shows how. A really smal
version can be made with a plastic end cap for small shoe boxes and sweater
boxes.
