Re: [Killietalk] BOT Elections

Peter, I succinctly recall a meeting at which help was offered and
spurned. I understood at that time that this was Barry's baby and he was
going to do it. Apparently realization of
the immensity of the task has convinced him otherwise. It would be very
helpful if Barry
could detail what is all involved and the skills needed. Then
individuals like me could
decide if I could even do it. Part of the reluctance here is the overall
lack of sophisticated
computer skills by many of the members. And what is wrong with building
up our treasury?

Erny

PS. Can the election results be posted on the AKA web site?

Unfortunately, the official results were not available until after the
BNL went to press. Dick Martino does this about the 1st. Of the month. I
will check if we can release the results on-line sooner and publish them
in the BNL next month. Barry Cooper answered the question regarding JAKA
on CD thoroughly. We are not trying to build up our treasury. If we can
find some volunteers to take over the project, we can go ahead with it.
We've been waiting for volunteers since the Convention and the request
in the BNL that was made, but as Barry indicated, we have not received
any responses.
