When I used to grow tons of water sprite in a floating fashion and I  found 
that it did best when the tank was covered.  The humidity above the  water 
level seemed to make it do much better.  Now you might think, covered  tank, who 
would have a non-covered tank?  Now that I keep mostly pupfish,  I've not 
worried about covers, they don't seem to have the wander lust that the  rest of the 
killes have.
